Down takes helm as Director of Sales for IT Channel, MSPs, VARs

March 2, 2021 (Saskatoon, CANADA) – Vendasta, the end-to-end ecommerce platform for companies serving digital solutions to local businesses, today announced the appointment of Andrew Down as Director of Sales for IT Channel, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and Value-added Resellers (VARs).

MSPs and VARs play a key role in supporting business adoption of ecommerce and digital. In his role, Down will spearhead efforts to extend the Vendasta SaaS platform through the execution of a go-to-market strategy for the MSP/VAR space. Businesses are accelerating a move to ecommerce as consumers spent a record $861.12 billion online with U.S. merchants in 2020, up 44 percent year-over-year, according to Digital Commerce 360. Many need the help of information technology and cloud experts, such as MSPs and VARs.

Down is a 13-year veteran in the technology sector. Most recently he worked as partner and vice-president of sales for award-winning Anchor Managed Solutions Ltd., where he oversaw business growth and expansion. His local community work includes volunteering for the Fund Committee for READ Saskatoon and other non-profits in Saskatchewan.
