Oct. 21, 2019 (Saskatoon, CANADA) – Vendasta is the recipient of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce’s Achievement in Business Excellence (ABEX) Awards for Growth & Expansion.
The awards were announced Saturday night at the chamber’s annual awards gala at TCU Place in Saskatoon. Vendasta’s VP of People Operations Jean Parchewsky accepted the award on behalf of the company.
“It is nothing short of a banner year for us, and it’s thanks to the hundreds of Vendasta team members who are helping us chase down this dream of making local business easier for people around the world,” said Parchewsky. “The work we’re doing is having a worldwide impact, and we’re so lucky to be growing this global business right here in Saskatchewan surrounded by other tremendous, driven business owners.”
This year, Vendasta raised $40 million in venture capital funding to help it grow its cloud commerce platform for companies that provide digital solutions to small and medium businesses (SMBs). It plans to grow from its current 325+ person workforce to 650 people in the next three years. The company also recently announced it intends to move to a larger headquarters, remaining in downtown Saskatoon.
