Career Description

As a Data Analyst at Vendasta you will ask questions and discover the answers. For the Existing Enterprise division, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a variety of data channels required for monitoring business intelligence, success metrics, and user behaviour.

You will report directly to the individuals prioritizing your work and will leverage the interdepartmental analyst group to review, develop, and share information and analyses. The Data Analyst will be articulate, analytical, and a team player who understands the power of data. The Analyst must enjoy coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, learn quickly, and be comfortable working independently.



  • Respond to ad hoc requests from various stakeholders, prioritizing tasks based on business value and urgency
  • Build and interpret internal dashboards and data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reporting
  • Provide prompt reports on monthly, quarterly, and yearly results for the division
  • Acquire data from a variety of sources to monitor business intelligence, analyze trends, and assess user behaviour
  • Assist with the generation of key SaaS metrics required to gain visibility into business performance
  • Monitor, maintain, and leverage Vendasta KPI databases to surface timely business intelligence
  • Assist with data gathering strategies that align with company goals
  • Push requirements to Vendasta Business Intelligence teams to leverage their tech/strategy
  • Coordinate with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Develop and implement databases and other systems that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that required quantitative data is accessible, reliable, and maintainable
  • Assist product teams with the interpretation of quantitative data to aid in decision making and strategic planning

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience performing statistical analysis
  • Competent in cleaning and formatting data
  • Proven ability to analyze and model data
  • Ability to interpret user behaviour data and collect associated metrics, such as NPS score, heat/scroll maps, conversion funnels, etc.
  • Familiarity with calculating key SaaS metrics (ARPU, Net MRR Churn Rate, LTV, CAC, LTV: CAC Ratio, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Infrastructure, App Engine, and tools (Bigquery, Data Store, Google Analytics, Data Studio, etc.)
  • Familiarity with databases and various querying techniques (SQL, NoSQL, API)
  • General knowledge of Python and agile development practices (would be considered an asset)
  • Knowledge of design principles and data visualizations
  • Awareness of key users to surface actionable insights (partners, local businesses, Partner Success Managers, Sales Reps, vendors, etc.)
  • Continuous learner with a drive to explore new technologies and processes
  • Analytical business sense as aligned to division strategies and goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong pursuit for truth and accuracy
