Polar bears, SRED, espressos and whisky tasting — we had a great time last Friday! But if you missed out, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
First, we had the pleasure of listening to Jordan Jeschke presenting Cultura, a refreshing, portable espresso bar. Together with his business partner, Braden McFie, they came up with a way to bring a specialty coffee bar to any event. Jordan explains how they came to be, how Cultura operates, and how their gear works. Cultura: delicious and available for hire!
Next we had the pleasure of listening to Dr. Susan Blum’s adventures as the first female polar bear biologist. She takes an interesting look at the difference between her past position as a polar bear biologist and compares it to her current position as a research administrator. She also has some amazing stories about her time with the bears, including an incident (or two) that consist of bears waking up from their anesthetic early. Yikes!
In the next demo, Mike Brennan provides a brief history on scotch whisky, and ends the demo with taste samples of his favourite brands. I bet you’re mad at yourself for missing this one live!
