At the Canadian Tire Golf Classic.

On June 15th, 2011, VendAsta sponsored a hole at the Canadian Tire Golf Classic, raising funds for the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre.

The tournament took place at the beautiful Willows Golf and Country Club south of Saskatoon. As it turned out, the hole VendAsta sponsored was the hole-in-one where players had a chance to win $50,000! Needless to say, all the players were very excited to see the VendAsta banner, though this may have had something to do with winning $50 grand…

VendAsta’s Nathan R, Tavis, Allan, and Ches all came out to help. Tournament participants included Canadian Tire dealers from all over the country, local business owners, and Saskatoon celebrities like Mayor Don Atchison, who enjoys dressing up for such occasions.

Over the past seven years, the Canadian Tire Golf Classic has raised a total of $554,688 for the Food Bank. In 2010 the Classic set another record by raising over $121,000. This year’s tournament was attended by over 50 Canadian Tire dealers and executives and approximately 100 local businesspeople and politicians. We’re still waiting on word for the 2011 fundraising total. Fingers crossed for another record-breaking year…
